_{Of all the broken hearts I’ve seen
The more pieces there are
The harder to put back
Together into one
Whole heart again
That loves with a passion
For others and themselves
This is what I’ve seen
And if one small piece
Not even big enough for the naked eye to see
Is lost
Then the heart will not heal
Because when
They take the heart
With them when they leave
And give it to
Another
The heart is gone forever
And the piece
Along with it
Although there is a cure
To this sad story
That is a simple answer
I like to call
